About Me

I've been using computers and understanding them at a pretty deep level since I was five years old. So when I got deep into Bitcoin and crypto in college and started digging into how things worked under the hood, none of the concepts were entirely new to me. That curiosity is what pushed me toward actually learning to program. I completed Codecademy's 30-hour intro to JS course, as well as their intro to HTML and CSS courses. I decided that I REALLY like programming, and I wanted to go all in on Web Development. I immediately applied as a Full-Time student to Lambda School's Full-Stack Web Developer and Computer Science program, and was accepted a couple of weeks later. Lambda School was very difficult, but it was very worth it.

Recent Experience

Fellowship - Gauntlet AI

October 2024 - December 2024 (3 months)

Getting into Gauntlet was no joke. The requirements were intense: pass a LeetCode challenge, have at least three years of professional experience, clear a behavioral interview, and score 40+ out of 50 on the CCAT (Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test). I was definitely rusty, and wasn't able to pass until I studied for 2 weeks straight!

The program itself was three weeks remote followed by seven weeks in Austin, Texas—they flew me out and covered everything. It was all about building real products with modern AI tools: Cursor, Claude, OpenAI APIs, OpenRouter APIs, Replicate APIs, RAG systems, and agentic workflows. Several of the projects you see in my portfolio came from participating in The Gauntlet. It sharpened my product sense, gave me tons of experience green-fielding applications in fast iteration cycles, and showed me what developers are REALLY capable of using the full power of AI (if you've only dabbled on the side with Cursor or Claude Code, you have no idea!)

  • Scored 43/50 on CCAT. Program required 40+ to enter!
  • Designed and built multiple production-ready AI applications during 10-week intensive program (3 weeks remote, 7 weeks in Austin, Texas)
  • Developed expertise in modern AI stack: Cursor, Claude, OpenAI APIs, RAG architectures, and autonomous agents
  • Strengthened product ownership and green-field development skills through rapid prototyping and iteration
  • Several portfolio projects originated from this fellowship, showcasing practical AI integration patterns

Professional Experience

Senior Front-End Software Engineer - Lukka

October 2019 - November 2024 (5 years)

Five years at Lukka as a Front-End Engineer, working primarily in Angular with some React. I started as a junior and worked my way up to L3. Lukka is a crypto data company, so a lot of the work involved handling large volumes of asset data at scale.

  • Progressed from Junior (L1) to L2 in ~1 year, achieved L3 within 18 months
  • Built the successful launch of the LukkaSoftwareSuite and LukkaTax platforms, building both frontends from scratch with one other frontend developer
  • Tech stack: React, Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx, SCSS, Jasmine/Karma
  • Led team of 3 developers on critical feature implementations
  • Gained expertise in fast-paced startup environment with rapid iteration cycles
  • Architected and built a fully custom data grid on top of AG Grid handling 1M+ crypto assets, with full-stack integration into Java Spring Boot microservices, cutting load times from 7-10s to under 200ms
  • Co-led development and integration of a 30+ component shared UI library used across three products (Lukka Software Suite, Reference Data, Market Data Platform)
  • Integrated Stripe and Recurly payment systems across multiple products, including subscription management and billing flows

Besides programming, I'm a PC enthusiast and a gamer. I hit Global Elite in CS:GO, which took upwards of 60 wins to get there. I hit Immortal 1 in Valorant twice, on two separate accounts, both in roughly 20-25 wins. I also peaked top 80k in osu!, which isn't the most impressive thing on this list but I'll take it. I also have four years of choir experience and still practice pretty often.
